I don't know the range of serial number prefixes yours is CZ and I have seen a HU so that kind of range suggests yours would have been issued in the early 1970's. Report this Post to the Staff
NumisRob Bedrock of the Community United Kingdom 18086 Posts	Posted 07/03/2015 03:29 am I would say around 1976 - I definitely recall having a real crush on a girl with the surname 'Cox' in October 1976, and getting a batch of brand new pound notes from the bank around then with the prefix 'CX', of which I kept one at the back of my wallet for months before spending it!
