bmanofnbc Pillar of the Community United States 1424 Posts	Posted 01/02/2008 6:48 pm I was off on Monday and decided to check out this store that's going out of business. They mainly sold hunting & fishing supplies but they also sold some metal detectors and a few coins, both of which I wanted to check out. There was no metal detecting gear left at all, no coins either. So I just looked around the store a bit. I found a few coin reference books, most of them were outdated foreign coin books. Then I spotted it! A brand new in-the-box Walter Breens encyclopedia of U.S. and colonial coins.....the original $75 sticker was still on it along with a pink one for $65 but this store was selling everything at 50% off original prices!! I got it for $37.50 Now my dilemma, should I keep it or sell it and buy a nice coin? I looked on ebay and found 1 for sale at $147.50 with 3 days remaining and 4 on Amazon.com from $199.00 for a well used one up to $575.00 for a new one. Report this Post to the Staff
