I just printed off a shipping label using ebay's system and saw that they've lowered the price from $2.60 to $2.54.

It's still fifty cents more than they were charging before they took away the discount, but it is something.

I'm losing about 35 cents on every coin I ship when I factor in ebay fees and buying padded mailers, but I decided to keep my shipping at $2.50 instead of raising it.

ebay did slice their USPS discount but the big increase was from the postal service, not ebay.

that's correct. The price of a stamp is the same but the commercial rates went up.

There is a bit of a silver lining though. If you notice, on ebay the price to ship 7 oz is the same as 3 oz.

If the package is of some value the postage costs are minor. On packages less than $20 it does bite a chunk off any potential profit.

I shipped a 3oz package and a 6oz package on 2/21/16

the 3oz was $2.54, the 6oz was 2.60.

it looks like 1-3oz is 2.54 and 4-8 oz is 2.60. Is that correct?
