Anyone know what type it is? Value? I threw a bid of $2 on it unknowingly, and won it.

1727-1760 British Halfpenny with bust of KG II. Commonly circulated in the colonies and is considered a "US colonial" coin. It is worth about $5 in this condition.

Looks like a 1745. Don't know how the seller got 1741 out of it. And they didn't strike any in 1741.

With a left-facing portrait of King George II (1729-1754), there are no dates that command much of a premium. There are two over-dates and one error legend that will get you about a 2x premium, but I agree with jerseyben on the value estimate of about five bucks.

It looks to me like the obv legend is GEORGIVS II REX (with a letter V instead of a letter U). That would narrow down the date range to 1746-1754. Since the third digit in the date is a 4, the date range is '46 to '49. It would be interesting for you to provide follow-up photos once you have this coin in hand.
