Does not need to be a collector to admire a coin like that , and where I work a customer paid their stuff with this , in my opinion , one of the most beautiful coins , just wanted to share what I found , is still there so let's find them

First time I find one ....I have a coin counter machine at work and I almost never check the half dollar box cause it's rare to find one but I heard when something hit the box cause it was empty then I couldn't believe when I saw this coin lol
Wish I was working in the front end to ask the customer if he had more

Sometimes people like that amaze me, other time you have to wonder how desperate they are to be busting into their coin jars or grandpa's collection to pay for basic necessities...

Some people just don't care, or don't want to be bothered trying to sell
a old coin. I have seen older ladies "not wanting that dirty old money"

Either way .... Nice you save it .. It is now in the safe hands of a collector

Another good point here ! A old lady that knows that I collect coins gave me a silver half dollar 1967 that she got as tip long time ago when she used to work as waitress and she just wanted to clean her closet and didn't want to keep dirty stuff she said

I have snagged plenty of silver (Morgans, Peace Walkers) from 7-11 because a guy in the neighborhood need smokes and beer. Yep, he used those coins, knowing they were worth more than face, for cancer and cirrhosis of the liver.

Sad choices, or poor choices, or simple ignorance. That said, I've never seen a Walker in the wild. What a treat that'd be.
Rest in Peace

A few years back , (OK quite a few years back) I was coin detecting with my uncle on an old school yard . he was not more than 8 feet away from me and he digs up a nice Walker in EF-AU condition , came up clean, you should have seen the look on his face when he held it up for me to look at .
