My cancer has reappeared. Nine years ago I had surgery for a very aggressive Stage IV Prostate Cancer in Houston. Thanks to an extremely skilled and knowledgeable Surgeon, the cancer has stayed in remission until now. So I am now scheduled for scans, after which my Houston doctor is referring me to a local Radiation Oncologist for treatment. I am quite thankful for these last years since the prognosis was quite unfavorable.

Don't give up with today's cancer treatments cancer isn't what it was 40-50 years ago. My dad had colon cancer in 1997 and lived out the rest of his life until 2010 cancer free at which time he died of a heart attack. My wife had breast cancer about 5 years ago and is now cancer free. Keep up the fight, put your faith and trust in God to bring you through.

Cancer is a scary word with good reason, but the medical options today seem to get better nearly every year.

Dear Pete , I'm sorry in hear that and wanted to tell you that you're not alone on this fighting , I was diagnosticed with cancer 2 years ago and after 4 surgeries finally my last scan results was that everything was clear! I need to take medicine for the next 3 years at least , and I know that it's a daily fighting ! Of course I'm scared and worried that it can come back any time but we need to be strong and think positive . We need to wake up everyday and say " hey it's just another day and I will win!" And tomorrow and after tomorrow ... I'm praying for you and hope you keep posting here and updating about your health... And believe that everything will be all right !
