I received this today about my proof coin subscription

Dear United States Mint Subscription Series Customer:

Due to transition in service providers and the recent severe weather in the Tennessee area, the United States Mint has been unable to generate and ship your subscription order(s). We have, however, reserved inventory for your order(s) and expect to resume shipping within one to two weeks. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this matter has caused.

We deeply appreciate your continued patience and thank you for allowing the United States Mint the opportunity to fulfill your numismatic needs.

Probably just as well...I have received two shipments in the last week from the Fullfillment Center and have had to send them both back because of chipping on the fields of all my proofs!

One thing is to get coins from the mint, and something altogether to get them from the "fulfilment Center! The coins I have received from the mint, have been satisfactory, but the trashy, floor sweepings that I got, will guarantee, that never will I accept anything from that "shipping source again!

All of the mint orders go through the fullfillment center. When you say the coins you got from the mint were good are you talking about ones purchased at the gift shop at the mint? Because those are not direct from the mint. The gift shop is a privately run concern (And usually they will let you pick through the coins on hand. Something you can't do with direct orders.). Now the kiosks in Washington DC may be directly controled by the mint. I'm not sure about them.

Yeah...I was going to say....here in Kansas.....ALL OF MY U.S. MINT ORDERS COME FROM THE FULFILLMENT CENTER ! If there's another way......I'd like to hear it ! (ways that "don't" involve a 1,800 mile drive to Washington D.C. or a 7-8 hour drive to Denver !)
