At just under $8 apiece, I felt I could not go wrong. Two look EF and one looks AU with some luster.

Just out of curiosity, what was your goal in purchasing these? Filling holes in an album? Reselling them (hopefully at a profit)? Adding them to your massive hoard of large cents until you have enough to fill a vault and dive into them Scrooge McDuck style?

I was planning on upgrading two coins in my type set, and selling those and the balance of this lot for a profit. Selling just one of the ones currently in my type set should give me a net profit.

I assume that is the seller's photo? If so, do let us know how they all look once you get them in hand. Which ones are you going to put in the type set?

Quote: I assume that is the seller's photo? Yes. Quote: If so, do let us know how they all look once you get them in hand. Will do! Quote: Which ones are you going to put in the type set? Top left is a definite. We'll see how the top middle and bottom left compare in-hand. Bigger pics:

I think you did ok with them . Dose not seem to be a problem coin in the whole lot . . For less than $8 a piece, you have my endorsement .

From those images the only one that looks like it has any claim to EF is the 1848 bottom left, and that would be as a 40 coin. Al the rest are lower grade. They are definitely worth as much if not more than what you paid for them though.

Until you try to resell them. Just everyday stuff with no upside potential taken as a lot. Low-grade common large cents are a sucker bet and as easily available today as they have been for the last 150 years.

Don't forget to check the 1847 for an overdate.

The 1845 in the top middle is the one I'm really curious about. It could be a cleaned VF, or an AU+ RB. The rest look G-F.
