garys64wildcat Pillar of the Community United States 593 Posts	Posted 01/02/2017 2:12 pm I have a 1925 Peace dollar that is BU. I saved this one because this is a super nice coin. I want to post a pic of it, but trouble in pc on pics. This coin is almost perfect as far of nicks, bag marks etc. good strike. One of the best I have seen Its a common date. But nice coin. Is it worth the slab price. I will try to send picture if I can get it fixed to send to my laptop. Also how is the value of a nice Peace dollar Report this Post to the Staff

Alpha2814 Pillar of the Community United States 2023 Posts	Posted 01/02/2017 2:34 pm If it's a Philadelphia mint (i.e. no mint mark), it's a common date and not worth slabbing unless it grades ~65 or higher -- I bought a 62 last year for less than $50. If it's a San Francisco issue, it may be worth slabbing in the condition you describe -- MS low-60s are going on ebay for $150 to $300. In either case, pics would help us estimate a grade. As a general rule, it's worth slabbing only if it's worth $100 or more, but some will slab for sentimental, preservation or authentication reasons. Report this Post to the Staff
davec13 Pillar of the Community United States 757 Posts	Posted 01/02/2017 2:39 pm If it's a 66 or above, It's definitely worth grading.. Bluesheet for a 63 is $30, 64 is $40, and 65 is $100. Those prices do not justify the grading cost in my eyes. Report this Post to the Staff
