Yep I did use a magnet to try and tell which one of my coins was silver thats the first thing I did before but thats Boring imho So from now On I let the coins "ching away" because the sound Is so cool...

and aweber77 you got a great deal of 25 cents each for all them coins , I mean the metal value in them today is much higher then just 25 cents ...

Great steal

PS- Am I the only one getting mad at all the "anti-penny" news as of late ? LOL!! I mean I understand that the cost to make the penny is more then its actual worth ,but can they figure something out? I mean pennies are great for so many things besides just spending and I would hate to see the end of No more pennies I admit I was anti-penny at one time when I was a Teen But today it would hurt me to see the end of the Penny..

Yeah, I thought it was an awesome value even though they don't seem like they would contain much silver. I think its like 2.2 grams of .925 silver. Its also great news to hear that the 5 cents is worth something. I got that for $1...

Great - thanks!

That's wierd mine doesn't even list it as a variety. I only have a 2001 edition, though.

Aweber77, since we suspect it's the F2 variety, it could retail at around $100.

Your 1880 is a Obverse 3. I have a better explanation and photos on my website. https://www.ashrap.com

Zonad, I just checked your website and the 1880 H wasn't there, could you provide a specific link to it?

I think I understand it now, so if its obverse 3, what is it worth in F-12?

your 1913 10 cent could be a variety.. tehres 2 different kinds of leaves on that year.. Broad leaves and victorian style..

Quote This almost looks like a portrait 2 to my eyes, but I don't scrutinize Victorian coins much. Any other thoughts?
I'll guess a grade around f-12, and if it's an F2, that would be around $100
I disagree Kurt.. I say F3 But I mean.. Its pretty smooth there so Kinda hard to tell
