I posted this one in the roll hunting forum. It's a 1942 nickel (non war). What are your thoughts? Lamination or struck through?

If it was lamination then I ask how does that area have sharp edges when the rest of the coin is so worn? I'm sure you will get alot of different opinions.

I'm inclined to go with lamination. It would help to have close ups of the entire lamination and an image of the reverse.

I also want to say lamination because it doesn't mute the devices as it passes through/over them.

If it's not too much trouble, can you get a shot of where it reaches WE TRUST? It looks like the rim is further out there, consistent with a lamination being peeled off that far.

Maybe wrong, I'm thinking the rim to rim lamination peeled sometime after 1942. Thanks, Doug.

Halo1st, what do you mean?

I have a question for you guys: What is the market for Jefferson nickel lams? I have a couple I'm considering selling but I have no idea of the potential value or interest.
