Anyone rushing to jump on the Canada 150 puzzle coin? Looks extremely busy in my opinion, but does have a nice large canvas (123.7mm).

Here are some details:
- Mintage 800
- Retail = $1867
- Each province represented by a puzzle piece with colorful shield. Value of each piece = $20
- Central portion = gold plated parliament building and effigy. Face Value = $50

I was expecting something a bit "cleaner"... maybe will look good in-hand?

I'm sitting here looking at the image I was sent, A few things bug me about this "Coin"
#1 - 123.7MM ! I have smaller plates in the kitchen.
#2 - That has to be the easiest puzzle ever made.
#3 - It would have looked a lot better without the colour.
#4 - It look interesting but I'm not sure what's below the Parliament Building?
Passing on this one :-)

I think it is incredible and will be the Canada 150 coin that stands out from the rest.

I've changed my coin buying strategy; I purchased none of the May, June or July coins other then this one. It's a 14 coin set for $1867 with a mintage of only 800. Once the 2017 coins are long forgotten I think I'll be happier holding this set then if I spent $1800 on the usual 7500 mintage 1oz coins from this year.

The puzzle coin just came on the RCM website and it shows no special custom packaging.

So are we all to presume that this 150th celebration coin will come in a maroon clamshell with a boring black sleeve?

What do you want for $1867...a wooden box or something?

Plus, it's only our 150th anniversary.

Sheeeesh......lol

@New1954

I'm passing on the puzzle coin, but I did buy the 3oz Maple.

Still not sure about the GITD Canada 150.

Yes....and that will probably be next a "Map of Canada Puzzle Coin". You just gave their production and design team an idea for a winning design:)))))
