by looking at the mintage I find one date that is to cheap right now so I started to hoard it I now got over 10 coins and still looking. 1910 S 6,045,000 made 15.00 in good 1913 S 6,101,000 made 13.00 in good 1922 D 7,160,000 made 17.00 in good and now the 1933 D has only 6,200,000 made and is the cheapest coin in this group at 3.25 in good.the others coins listed has a start value in good at 13.00 and up.this date is just as hard to find as the other ones listed. I use to hoard the 1909 ind and the 1909 vdb at the time they were only 4.00 coins now they are 10.00 each in good. Edited by toniblab 04/28/2008 06:57 am

I agree, Toniblab. Personally, I am keeping everything from 1939 back plus any extremely nice 1940 and 50s Wheats. Lincolns are going to do nothing but go up. Jim

Jim, I am curious why you think 1939 and back will go up? Any specific info or just a feeling? I have also have saved all 1920 and earlier Lincoln's over the years just as a "hoarder" Thanks Steve

Are you hoarding these after finding them in rolls or pocket change? Or are you buying them from shows, shops, and the like when you see them?

I seem to remember Virg Marshall showing Railroad cars full of lincolns cents coming to his company. I admit that if copper continues to increase in price,( my god, people here actually steal it from live 12,000 volt substation boxes)the cents from the 40 and 50s might begin to gain in value, but I would limit it to 1935 if possible.
As a side question, What would be a fair price for a unchecked group of 1000 wheats? I would say about 5 cents each.
Jim
