I decided to spend a day in NYC looking for halves and "the reject tray" of every single commerce bank. So I started my day and got 2 rolls from National Valley Bank. The I got 3 customer made rolls from Bank Of America. I had only 150 on me, so I sat down in Barnes and Nobles and went through them NO SILVER. Then I went to the commerce bank dumped them, but I found a 1 EURO and 1995 Penny, Nickel, and Dime. Then I went to couple of commerce and looked at commerce bank's PENNY ARCADE reject trays. I found a two pence, a 1995 Nickel, and Dime and pennys. A mud up dime and two penny. Then I went to a chase and bought 120 dollars of Halves from Chase. I looked at 30 Dollars worth a Mcdonald and NO SIVLER. I dumped them at commerce and boughtt another 30 and went home. I looked through them and found 3 1967 40% Silver Halves. I'm wondering why 1995 were there.

Can someone explain to me what is a "reject tray" at a bank? Is that similar to a Coinstar reject tray? I've never seen such a thing at a bank...

Commerce Bank has a penny acarde similar to a coinstar machine, but it is free. It also doesn't accept foriegn and silver coins (why 1995's were there escapes me.) So sometimes you get lucky and find some coins in them, because NYorkers just dont care (always on the go.) Well I went to the CHASE BANK of 52 st and 6th ave. Near the UBS building and Bombay Place resterant. Thats where I got my halves with the silver. They were all wrapped in yellow. He said they came staright from the FED>

I have had very little luck finding halves (never mind silver) in NYC. I have found just one 40% silver here. (I think that the tellers are reluctant to go into the vaults it being a large city).

There will be tons of halves though at Bank of America on Broadway and 9th Street! Those are my dumping rolls.

No wonder. I went to A Bank Of america there. She had $30 of customer halves and more in the valut ( which I could get if I came back in an hour) I looked through them and found none. Decided not to go back.

Bought another 23 Dollars worth of half dollars from BOA and found one 1969D 40%er. My $500 Box is coming next week. Meanwhile, I got a $25 Box of Pennies.
