I have a Very special Dime stamp error.
Top 1/2 nickel clad and bottom 1/2 pure copper.

to CCF. Looks like a legit missing clad layer. Nice. Where did you get it? Can you post clearer pics?

@3dmac, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is a very interesting coin. Could you please also post an edge view of this coin? Thx.

An exciting find if it is missing the reverse outside layer. But as has been mentioned photos of the edge and the weight in grams would help us determine if it is what you hope.

Looks like it is missing the reverse clad. I can see weakness on some devices which sometimes is seen on this error. It is a great find.

Iíve had this coin since early 90s from a bank roll.
It has little to very little wear as the edges are still stamped sharp to
To the feel. Iím also a gem collector and would rate this
As VF.

Definitely worth putting in an Air-Tite holder.

It is a planchet error, not a striking error. The reverse clad layer was missing prior to the coin being struck. It is much better than VF, looks like a solid AU to me and worth $20-40.

You mean misstruck not misstamp. Not a striking error, it's a planchet error. It's missing it's Clad layer.
