I have this 1961 Nickel that definitely has two layers but not sure if this is MD or what is going on with this. Any thoughts on this one?

It looks like heavy Die Deterioration Doubling on your coin. However, I may be wrong so I'll wait for the experts to come in. :)

Looks like strike doubling to me.
DD's...on the hunt: 95, 92, 83, 72, 71, 70, 69, 64, 59, 58, 55, 47, 42, 41, 39, 35, 34.

(Found since (August 2017) signature creation: 82 DDR)

with a little bit of MD thrown in too. But really, if you could get us some close up's..................
