Thank you, my friend. The edge, did you think it presents problems?

Fake. Appears cast, but the lack of patina screams out "This coin was made last year", not ten centuries ago.

I wish the first image was a little cleared, but the coin looks genuine to me. Azes II Mitchiner type 854, North Chach B.

I found the thickness of the coin very regular, coins minted are not so, or are they?

@JK, can you please post a clearer view of the obv? I agree that the flan on the rev is amazingly nicely flat for a coin made over 2000 years ago.

The edge picture shows a coin of constant thickness and square edge, unlike something from ancient times.

I'm not 100% convinced either way, but I am leaning toward fake here. These coins are very low grade billon, so finding one with such smooth surfaces is *very* rare. These coins are well-made (the Greek minting practices were still known by a few) but this one seems too round with the edge too even.

I'm on the other side of the fence and believe it is genuine. I have seen a lot of these coins and over the years collected a few so the surface and thickness doesn't concern me. I'm going to send the images off to some experts on this type to see what they have to say.

I will be interested to see what Ron can find out from the sages, if I was forced to say anything I would have gone with Fake.
It just " looks " wrong to my eye but I don't know the type so that is just a guess really.
