I'm not sure anyone has posted about this coin yet, but it's in the online shop with pictures now:

Mintage 20k, HH limit of 1.

The obverse is a little too busy for me, and I don't like the off-center design. But the reverse is beautiful. For once, a proper eagle...

Agree completely, great looking eagle. I don't own any platinum and this gives me no incentive to jump in.

Thanks for posting.

I like it, but platinum is out of my budget.

The eagle is great, and I don't mind the off-center obverse -- the composition is nice and well-balanced by the large lettering. Of the three in this series, I think this will be my favorite. Platinum is relatively low now, but I wish they still made the fractional pieces. I like these much more than silver but a full ounce is a hard sell, especially as other metals are likely to hold their value better.
Working on: Franklin halves (Unc), Peace dollars (62-63), US type (larger Seated AU)

Spend $1200+ for a new coin. Spend the same for several beautiful classics.

Easy decision, although I too love that eagle.
