Thoughts on these two medals? From my research I know that the first medal was sold throughout Canada to commemorate the first Royal visit in 1939. The second medal was given to school age children to commemorate the Queen Elizabeth the second's coronation. Apparently both are common with little monetary value. I may hold on to them as there is a good story behind them to teach my kids and that they can teach their kids.

I like them both - particularly the coronation medal.

The 1939 Royal Visit to Canada medal was given out to all
school children in Canada, it is the Thomas Shingles
obverse design, as opposed to the Percy Metcalfe obverse on
the larger bronze and silver medallions. The trip route is
displayed on the reverse.
