I picked these up at my LCS today I was wondering what their value might be. I know nothing about Canada coins.

For each I paid:
$4.00 for the small cent book
$9.00 for the dollars
$9.00 for the quarters

The value you have is a lot higher than my collection. I would love to see the other sides as well. Yes I will go shopping with you any day.

Well, you made at least 10 times your investment, even selling them back to a different dealer if you guesstimate VF-20 for the small cents and scrap silver for the silver..

Defiantly a good buy, the book values surpass what you paid. The conditions of the coins are not very good so they are all in low grade, plus from what I can see the dates you have are easily found for sale and so the desirability is low.

Its a great starter lot and you paid very little, for the knowledge you'll get researching the coins.

i find it very hard to believe that a coin dealer doesn't know the melt value of Canadian coins?

Very good pick up ...

I would pay that and more .. without thinking.

I would continue to visit that shop for more good deals.

I go to the shop all the time and sometimes help sort their inventory. I found these in an old box in the back and they were probably there for years and years. They had old coded tags of what the shop paid and the owner just cut me a deal on it from the old label. I'm already in the process of listing the cents on ebay and I'll likely keep the dollars because I really enjoy the designs. Some of them I've never seen before.

They really don't pay much attention to foreign coins and paper money. They have heaps of it in boxes stored in the back (it's been back there for years), but I have no knowledge of any of it. He'd likely give me deals on a lot of it, but I'm not sure I'm ready to dive into more stuff. I already have too much!

Wow! Where you at.. I'll be there in the morning with a truck.

That sounds like so much fun, wish I could help out with the sorting.

I'd like to see more pictures and answer any questions.
