One 'trick', of sorts, that I have always
heard from strong collectors is that "uncirculated"
doesn't necessarily mean the coin is a winner.
In other words: Sometimes it better to wait for
a really high grade coin, rather than settle for
an MS63, 64, or even 65. I picked this up from
Morgan collectors long ago.

The idea is that even though a 63 or 64 Morgan
will always hold it's value well, a higher grade
coin will always appreciate in value.

I imagine this advice holds true for any coin.
Even an '08 coin... why get a 69 when 70s are
out there? If the price is right, or you can wait,
don't settle.

Thanks Ratio 411 for the info,amac44 3-4am week knights on eflea are like fishing in a bucket,i think its because they think your tired and you will make a bad decision on a purchase,i notice on hsn/coin country and other live networks that in the early mornings 3-4 am that they blur the picture on the computer screen to make you more tired/vulnerable to attack.

So, do all your shopping on the Aussie ebay during the day.
Or, better yet...
Move down under and shop the US ebay during the day.

Q. David Bowers recommends (and I thought I makes great sense) to "study the different prices levels of a given issue, and if a small jump in grade, such as from MS-64 to MS-65, is accompanied by a huge jump in value, buy the lower grade." There is almost always a spot in any issue where you see this big jump. Over the long term it is this level that appreciates at the most consistent level.
