Are you talking about the 1976 type 1 vs type 2 shape on the R?

Negative. This is not a major die variety like the Type I/II you linked, but an error variety on the "R" of TRUST for some 1971D and 1972D obverse strikes.

Hi,

Short answer is ....Yep:-) As to how rare they really are, I don't think that there is a real idea at this point. You can be the judge of how hard they are to find. You found these after looking at how many coins? That will give you an idea.
