Which years in the LMC series have large & small dates?
Do other coins i.e. quarter, dime or nickel have L/Sm. dates?
What is the reason for having Large/ Small dates?

1960,1970 & 1982 have large and small dates. I am not aware of that variation on other coin denominations.

I do not know the reason for the changes other than to say they happened when the design was reworked in general, not just the date. Usually, that is to produce better strike quality in the final product. 1982 is a special case because it also coincided with the composition change.

1974 is also considered large and small date because of different hubbing of the 4. One hub had a larger 4, another smaller.

1960=Master dies wore out and emergencies were used

1970 is just 70S and is a remastered working die to fix the 7

1982 changed in mid year because master hubs were too worn out so they used the hubs meant for 1983, smaller details all over and different placements around the edges.

Remember these were all Master Hubbing dies, so this meant that at that time all dies were produced in Philly and sent out to the various mints, why there are D and P mint LD/SD
