I have a 1976 canadian penny that is silver in color.
Does anyone know of such coins and what their value is?

It has likely been plated, but could be an off-metal planchet error...

Many middle school science classes back in the 60s and 70s would plate them as an experiment. Then they'd find their way back into the wild. I've read here on the CCF that sometimes they were plated with mercury.

It's quite common for a penny struck on a dime in those years, but a pic would confirm with the weight
