Just wondering if this 1955 D Wheat penny has some delamination. It is along the rim. It starts below liberty and runs under Lincoln's bust. This is also some on the reverse around the O in one and CE in cent.

Some sort of foreign substance. Cents were not laminated until 1982.

Could be remnant plating from a science experiment or as the frog puts it, really any sort of foreign substance.

It is still a Wheat cent. So it has that going for it.

Laminations can occur in any year whether the coin is an alloy or pure metal.

If by die cracks you mean the marks through UNUM and the right wheat stem, those are scratches not die cracks. I don't see any die cracks on the rev.
