1000th post!

I'm not that talkative, so it took me longer than most to get here; almost 2 years! I still don't know how E&V registered almost a year after me yet has nearly 6000 more posts than I do!

I saw my post count slowly reaching 1000, and I came up with an interesting concept for a contest/giveaway.

I ordered a supposedly OBW roll of mixed year wheat cents from an online coin dealer. And it "may" have Indian Head cents.

You know how OBW rolls have two coins visible on each end of the roll? To win a coin in this contest, you have to guess correctly what the date and mintmark of one of these end coins is.

There will also be two tiers of prizes. One lower-value Tier 1 and one higher-value Tier 2.

If you are the first to only guess the date and mintmark correctly you win your choice of a Tier 1 coin.

If you are the first to get the date and mintmark right AND which side of the coin is showing through the end of the roll, you win your choice of a Tier 2 coin.

Example:
You guess 1955-D, Reverse showing.

If you are the first to guess 1955-D and the roll has a 1955-D on one end with the obverse showing, you get a tier 1 coin.

If you are the first to guess 1955-D and the roll has a 1955-D on one end with the reverse showing, you win a Tier 2 coin.

If you guess 1955-D but neither of the roll ends are 1955-D, guess again if you didn't already today!

Rules:
You have to have 50 posts to participate, so we can PM each other.
There will only be two winners.
You will post your guesses as replies to this topic.
You can only have one guess per day up until the results are announced.
Guesses are in this format:
Quote:
1955-D, Reverse showing

The results will be announced and there will be no more guesses when I receive the roll in the mail.
UNLESS there aren't two winners yet. If this happens, I will increase the number of guesses per day to 2 and will continue until a second winner.

If it turns out that there is the same date and mintmark on both ends of the coin, the first person to guess it will win a coin and the second person to guess it will also win a coin. You will not win two coins in this situation.
I'll announce winners in this topic and will PM the winners to ask for shipping info and prize choice.
Ask questions if you have any.

Prizes:
I collect varieties and errors, so most of the prizes will be just that. However, I added a few normal silver coins for those not interested in that.

Tier 1 Coins:
1960-D 1c RPM-032 BU
1962 5c DDO-002/DDR-007 UNC
1966 SMS 10c DDR-002 BU
2017-P 1c WDDO-001 AU/UNC

1942 50c DDR FS-801 F+/VF- Details Cleaned
2015-P NE 25c DDR-004 UNC Details Obv Scratch

1957-D with reverse (tails) showing on the end roll. Just my guess.

I don't really have an answer for that one. I guess I'm addicted to this forum, and love talking a lot.

There is no such thing as an OBW MIXED roll of wheat cents . When you get that straightened out after in hand then we can play .

I know it's not OBW, that's why I said supposedly. It's just a roll of mix wheats to me no matter what the dealer says.

I'm announcing results once I get the roll unless there aren't two winners. So just guess, don't wait until I get it.
