Here we go again! The wording is the same as last year's 2018 big coin series whereby the last and final coin (the penny) is only available with the subscription. Who believes them anymore? They sold the 2018 5 ounce penny on the shopping channel as well as dealers as singles. I was duped. I am frustrated. I am angry. *** Edited by Staff to remove YELLING. We have only sold it to customers that bought all the other coins from us.

@Gatewest
I commend you for that; however, the shopping channel and other dealers sold it by itself.

Quote: We have only sold it to customers that bought all the other coins from us. Even without this condition would be fine, cause I didn't hear, that dealers posted somewhere the subscription statement. This is RCM's misleading advertisement. Similar was in 2015, with the first Big Coins series. I don't remember official statements, but when I called the Mint several times, they told : "no singles will be distributed" luckily in that case we waited a bit for the dealer's offerings. The singles not just have been sold, but they had dedicated cardboard boxes each one.

More lies from the RCM. I am still upset about the false advertising on The Call of the Wild series.

I can't wait for the 2020 edition. I won't buy it, or this one, or the last. Very poor investment.

RCM must be busting a gut laughing at people who are paying thousands of dollars for the same coin with a different date! ROFL!

The 1kg and 1/2kg proof coin prices have been trending down in price for some time. 1kg format can now be had for $1,500-1,600. Instead, at the last coin show I attended, the 1kg and 100oz bullion silver bars were selling like hot cakes.

Bullion is often purchased in times of fiscal uncertainty. The US economy is still strong so I can only imagine that folks are hedging against a perceived or potential future instability in the financial system. Today notwithstanding, gold has been trending lower for most of the summer bouncing at $1,170 US/oz.
NCLT, or at least the NCLT that is more than 5 years old, tends to trend at a low multiple on bullion. Gold $100 22k coins (1976-1986) can typically be had for $850-$900 and as these are a half ounce of gold, they are comparing favorably with a half GML which is sitting at $850 today. The earlier 14K gold $100 quarter ounce coins match the quarter GML at around $430.
