On this coin it looks to me like the AM is closer than the other letters? Also I have heard a lot about 1997 penny's with the double ear but I don't think this is one of those I honestly have no clue.
to CCF. The doubled ear is a P mint coin,yours is a D mint. The AM is normal,close. In future posts please rotate and crop photos before posting,thanks. John1
Normal Close AM. The location of the 'M' between the AME is the clue. If the M is centered it is Wide AM. If it is off centered to the left, then it is a Close AM. That's the key. Not the distance the AM is apart.
