On this coin it looks to me like the AM is closer than the other letters? Also I have heard a lot about 1997 penny's with the double ear but I don't think this is one of those I honestly have no clue. 1997-Penny-Possible-Error

to CCF. The doubled ear is a P mint coin,yours is a D mint. The AM is normal,close. In future posts please rotate and crop photos before posting,thanks.

Normal Close AM. The location of the 'M' between the AME is the clue. If the M is centered it is Wide AM.

If it is off centered to the left, then it is a Close AM. That's the key. Not the distance the AM is apart.
