1912-D Nickel Damaged Mint Mark? Or An S

Titles are Important! * Picked this V nickel out of a jar of V nickels at my local coin shop simply because they sell them at $0.60 each and it had a mint mark. When I got home I noticed the mint mark looked misshapen and irregular shaped. I'm thinking it's probably a D that took a beating or maybe an S but I'm not sure. I spent hours looking at it and I'm dumbfounded. What do you all think? Report this Post to the Staff
