Ahhh, the rim markings aren't the important thing here. However, you have something much more important, you have a Doubled Die Reverse. It is the 1938 D DDR-001.

The only bad thing though, is the damage and smashed rims pretty much any premium the coin used to have. It's a shame, since it's a DDR.

Definitely a DDR, but the Post Strike Damage ( PSD) on the rims pretty much took away most of the value.

I definitely agree E&V but he has one and coming from his Dad makes it worth more to him I'm sure. Yep, DDR-001. Thanks for the pics.
