I found this last night and was very excited, my first RDV-006 and in BU condition, how lucky! From what I can tell they are very rare in MS Red, would that make it worth the $62 for grading (not including photovision)? Regardless very happy to add to the collection!

Here's the coinfacts link, I know price guides are usually off, but there is no record of a full red example ever being offered for sale. The highest graded example at 66 RD had offers of $800 declined.

So is it worth it? The most recent certified example sold ANACS AU-55BN for $27. I found one graded 64RB that sold in July for $108. Almost all are graded in BN, 10 in RB, and 16 in full red.

Thoughts?

Nice find! If it's indeed in MS BU condition, it would be worth getting it graded, in my opinion.

Yep RDV is Reverse Design Variety. RDV-006 in full red on a 1988 is an extreme rarity. Only 16 and the best graded is a 67. Apparently a registry collector offered 2.5K and got turned down.

UPDATE

I decided after some dileberation to get this graded by NGC (I prefer their slabs) and it was marked recived friday. I'll post grades when they're live. I expect somewhere around MS-64RD. It looks amazing in hand.
