Poll Question
how many different forums do you belong to the ones you are active on not just signed up on it. don't know if it allowed to post what ones since I am fairly new here don't know all the rules yet but this is by far the best one I have found. Results

I belong to three , but since I found this one. I am going to say after this weekend will only be two were I post at, since I get alot of info here adn the other site I go to this site is only going to get beter the more members we get

I lurk on so many forums I cannot count them; I've got almost a hundred bookmarked. I am registered on most of them, and in total perhaps fifty across all my areas of interest where I have enough posts to consider myself a participating member.
I cover coins, computers, bicycling, writing, cars, motorcycles, miscellaneous elitist wannabe intellectual bourgeois gatherings, and sundry other less-compartmentable areas.

Im not sure what happened, but I dont get the voting screen ?
Anyways if my vote was counted it would be 5+ ,, Metal Detecting, RC Airplanes and coins combined.

Rick, if you posted first, you lose the capability to vote. I hate that about the way the polls work! Voting has to happen before posting.
First of all, it is definitely permitted to post what forums you belong to. We believe very strongly here that the more sources you have, the more knowledge you can acquire...and knowledge is power.
That said, obviously most of my time is spent here. I am also a member of the Aussie forum, Collector's Universe (PCGS), Fly-In, Coin People, NGC, and Breastcancer.org.
I have found that every forum has its place and something to offer. I also find the differences in the atmospheres of the different forums fascinating.

5 plus coin forums. I post mostly to CoinPeople, RCC, and here but I also post and/or lurk at CoinTalk, Pre-Decimal, PCGS, NGC, the ebay Forums and occasionally visit a few other specialized forums like the Bust Coin Forum and CopperCoins just to read. |

I am active on five forums, but this is the only coin forum. The other forums are related to personality typing and/or fit into my endless identity-seeking quest.

I presume the poll question referred to coin forums since I am registered to dozens of forums of many types, but they include ham radio, Scouts, Jeep GC, and a whole bunch to which I have accessed only once for specific information (e.g., medical, music), but they required registration in order to read them. I am registered in four coin forums, but haven't been on any others except this one for many months.

Hee hee, I was just thinking Heather, when you get to your mid-life re-evaluation stage, then you get to seek your identity all over again!  But then again, maybe the mid life crisis is just a guy thing! For mine, I took a 10 month long trip, spent a lot of money, learned a new skill, then went back home and continued doing what I was doing in the first place! This is my only forum membership, but lurk on the ebay stamp forum sometimes. |
