1981-S Proof Type 1 Vs Type 2 Why Is This So Hard For Me?

I say Type 2

It's hard for lots of people.

I think both the S's in the first post are type 1. What I look at is the inside of the upper loop. On the type 1 it appears to be circular (ignore where the field comes in below the serif, just concentrate on the inside of the loop itself.) On the type 2 to me the inside of the loop looks like a D laying on its back ( A D rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise.) The inside of the upper loop on both S's in the OP are circular. In the two in the second post the type 1 is circular and the type 2 has that flat bottom making it look like the rotated D.
