Hi! I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but I've been having a problem where some of the Barber dimes and quarters that I have bought don't fit and just fall out of the Wittman folders that I have. I bought the folders used, so my thought was maybe the holes expanded and the coins I have are more worn so they don't fit?
Is there any way to fix that, or do I just need to buy new books?
Thanks!

Well yes, you're problem can be a very common one. You articulate the problem very well. Rather when mess with it and aggravate yourself, I would just buy new folders. They are relatively cheap. You can get then at any coin shop, hobby shop or book store.

Not without using scotch tape and you don't want to do that .

Yes. Putting the coins and and then taking the coins out would have stretched the holes a bit. Putting in coins that are more worn than what was in there would just add to the problem.

I would suggesting buying something new and if you can afford them, albums are a better solution. You can see both side of the coin and the slides will hold the coins in place.

And that is one of the biggest problems with Folders. Even when new, excessive worn coins tend to fall out.

LOL. I did that _ONCE_ with some late fifites wheats, never did it again. Stripped a layer of copper right off. Strong scotch tape.

Really? I'm surprised. Most of the scotch tape strips on my above folder was brittle, dry and fell off. The only stuff left was the tape adhesive on the coins. Acetone took it right off without a problem. The coin(s)/copper wasn't affected at all.
