So the 65, 66 and 67 in the SMSs are not considered Proof. More like a really nice uncirculated I assume?
Some SMS coins have a proof-like appearance. The differences are that the planchets were not prepared like the proofs were. Also, the coins were only struck once. They did handle the coins more carefully than business strikes and most have nice eye appeal. I have a couple of SMSs that contain coins that look very much like proofs.
Edit: neglected to mention that the dies were used for a shorter period of time and were prepared for the SMSs (I think?)
