In making a list of the Bicentennial Eisenhower dollars
the eight varieties are listed in the 2020 Red Book as:

Bicentennials

1776-1976 copper nickel clad Type 1
1776-1976 copper nickel clad Type 2

1776-1976-D copper nickel clad Type 1
1776-1976-D copper nickel clad Type 2

1776-1976-S copper nickel clad Type 1
1776-1976-S copper nickel clad Type 2

1776-1976-S Silver clad Type 1
1776-1976-S Silver clad Type 1

The last entry should be a Type 2 right?
I get confused easily enough as it is, but
when the references are wrong it really throws
me off. I guess I just need an official "Okey Dokey" that it should be a Type 2. Thanks

No. All silver Bicentennial Ikes, both proof and BU, are Type 1.
Oldest circulation finds: Cent 1902; 3CN 1867; Nickel (Buffalo/no date); Dime 1924; Quarter 1876; Half 1936; Dollar 1900; Banknote 1928 $2; Foreign 1917 3d (Great Britain)

Thank You for clearing that up hcmusicguy.
I see the difference in the entries now.

I agree; probably a typo.

It looks like the kind of trouble I have verifying Canadian coins in my Charlton books. I've spent years looking for coins listed in books that were really never made. It's especially sad when the same mistake is made in the following year's book.

Anybody have the Red Book in front of them to clarify what's going on here? I haven't picked up a Red Book since the 2017 issue. I might run out to Hobby Lobby tomorrow and use the ol' 40% coupon.
