To my untrained eye it looks to be a copy of a Roman Sestertius of Emperor Commodus....But wait and see what the experts come up with....

Maybe a good idea to move this thread to the ancients section?

Looks cast and there seems to be a seam at around 11 o'clock, but as Spence suggested a pick of the edge will help.

The edge looks to be filed to try and hide the casting seam. They didn't do a great job, as you can still clearly see it. Sorry to say, a fake. Keep it in a "Black Box" ( we all have one).
