I really think this is an easy variety to spot without any aids or tools.
I enlarged the diagnostic to make it clearer. All you need to go by is the tops of 77 in the date--a dramatic difference.

Okay, fiorst photo, "photo finish,thre-way tie for first.
Second photo, LOW 7. It is below the level of the other numbers.Kurt, Yuo ask if it okay to disagree? I say:If no one were to disagree, in this world, then we all would be as lambe , being led to slaughter, Who would argue the point? To me, that is how we learn!
We don't always agree on prices, even. You say "that much, and I say, no that much, more. tyhe extra is always for the "leg-work"! And you have done a lot of that for my benefit! It is very much appreciated.

Those recent photos are all low 7s to me. Out of about 50 coins I've looked at at home, each is either the high-7 or low-7, as seen in the diagnostic photos. Notice that the low second 7s are only *barely* below level.

Now what about the beads versus denticles story? I do think there is something to this, and saved an example of each just in case. Thanks to topher for pointing this out.

daviscfad, You ask what is "photo finish"? It is a term used in horse racing. When the horses cross the finish line, they are photographed for position, when there are more than one animal. If there should be two in the same position, and it is too close to call, then the photo gives a reference. If they are still "even", then it is a "dead heat"..My comment, "photo finish" was all the numbers were even, or a "dead heat. Even across the board. Does this help?

daviscfad, on that last photo, I used an artists grid to try to focus, bur no help. I see all even. I checked the tops, the bottom with the tails of the two "7's",, and the "9". No difference, (to me). Like I said, MY vision is not up to par with everyone else due to a condition known as Macular Deterioration. I am "legally blind. I am not allowed to drive because of it. BUT I still check coins VERY CLOSELY, if I can get it under my scope!
