Was too busy to get anything productive done today and finally sat down to unwind. Pulled out the big bag o wheats I started working on last night and came across this fine error.

That's a very nice cud! I like the odd shape of this one too. The different ways that a die can break always interests me. Nice find!

This one is in one heck of a die state too. Almost as bad as that 25-D LWC I posted a bit back. Awesome CUD! I still need one and a struck through die cap to appreciate. You'd think after almost 1k boxes I'd have found one, but nope.

No clue why but I have some magical attraction to cuds. I average about 1 retained cud a day and a regular cud every two weeks with a scattering of rim cuds as well. Tonight I have found the one posted, a 1940-S with a retained cud on both the obverse and reverse, and a 1957-D rim cud. I sold 25 of them last Wednesday on eBay, but have so many of them I'm shipping off almost 50 more of them to a guy this week just to thin the herd. Still at least 15 of them here that are unlisted and need photos and submitted. At least along the way I've gotten pretty good at attributing them...
