So why would they be offering coins for LESS than the US Mint is currently selling them for? TV guys want $19.95 when the mint is selling for $36.95 This one stumped me for a bit. But, it soon became obvious. These are in a "custom lens display" -- that means, not the one from the mint. Connect the dots and it is obvious they did not grade out, so they stuck them into some cheap aftermarket holders. These guys are sneaky -- basically TPG rejects.

Nothing sneaky about that, it's exactly what they say it is and the same quality essentially with no 70s that you could get from the mint for a lot less money.

I have to agree. If that's sneaky, then you should watch out, @jimbucks!

I dunno somewhere around $14-15 melt value for their grading rejects.... not great, but there's that holder cost too. I dunno, Not a total rip off @ $19.95 compared to other things they sell on there.
it could be worse.

And could be something more nefarious, like they graded out the dimes and halfs from the whole sets that graded well and these are the dumpers left over. $54.95-$19.95 and making the biger money off the Dimes and especially the halfs from Kennedy collectors, which seems to be a big market for them, they are always trying to sell half dollars.
"FIRST EVER .999 Kennedy half! IT'S HISTORIC! I HAVE A TINGLE RUNNING DOWN MY LEG!"

A lot of sets still in mint packaging for sale on eBay or at coin shows have also been prescreened for high grade coins.

Also Just my opinion I don't sell on ebay, but if I did, and I wanted to sell some W quarters, I would save the best ones for me and grading and sell the worst ones raw for whatever people will pay for them.
Fairly certain everyone selling them on ebay now does that also. It's just logical.

Hopefully people are getting smarter and using the internet to flesh out these offers.

That is sneaky of them, how dare they sell something at a reasonable price. (Proof silver quarters at $4 each.) Maybe they make it up in shipping.
