If you really look you can see the outline of the head on the dime , but thats it. Also its a lot thinner then a regular dime. On the back its completely blank. Please help me and tell me if you know what cause this or even if its real and worth anything so I should get it checked out. Thank you.

Ok I will try, the coin only has that faint outline of his head and nothing else.

That looks like it has been buried in the ground for a long time. Possible metal detector find from someone that returned it into circulation?

@burger, ok I see enough with the new pic to recognize Roosevelt's portrait. This coin is very thin--that suggests that it was immersed in acid, but clearly it has seen a ton of wear and tear (perhaps from a parking lot). As noted by others, it didn't leave the mint this way.
