I can't tell what the mint mark says on this one. I have loads of 1976-D B/U condition but none of them have a mirror finish like this one. If it's an "S" mint mark, shouldn't it be silver? It doesn't look silver from the edges? Is this an error coin

Looks like an Impaired Proof coin that has seen circulation.

So San Francisco made clad proofs for that year also? I thought they only made silver proofs for that year?

The regular clad proof in your pic coop doesn't have a mint mark though?

They made coppernickel clad proofs in the regular 6 coin proof sets in both 1975 and 1976. The 40% silver proof was only in the three coin proof set made in 1975. There was also a 3 coin 40% business strike set made in 1975. (All the 40% silver Bicentennial coins were made in 1975.)

That is the image from that site. To me they don't look like proof coins. I'll add the correct images later.
