The two authors that wrote the seminal reference book on them are named Leroy Van Allen and George Mallis, hence the acronym VAM. Bonedigger Pillar of the Community United States 1267 Posts	Posted 09/04/2008 10:59 am Thanks for everyone taking a look so far. I've received conformation that it's in fact an O-104; R-4+. As to the cleaning, yes it's probably been cleaned at some point, no biggie when compared to all the others (US Bust Coins) which have been cleaned, dipped, tooled, retoned, conserved, and still slabbed, LOL.
