Many sites have mostly limited suggested pricing for modern US variety coins. It would be cool, however, to know where to go for a free resource(s) to access that includes an 'all-encompassing' array of continually updated wholesale and/or retail costs for most modern US coin varieties.

I'd like to see some opinions on this.

My opinion, nobody keeps a current price list for something like that because it's constantly changing per the latest sale, like no price guide, like even the Red Book, isn't accurate and more generalized. It more comes down to how many people want it, how many there are thought to be, how many there are, and when it sells and how much buzz there is about that sale.

the limited suggested pricing you've already found is the best you're really going to get. unless you did something yourself and pulled info from multiple sources and did the compiling for a more up to date price list. A lot of work to give it up for free in my opinion.

I check completed sales on Ebay, And the PCGS or NGC websites for their recent sale records mostly. but most are auction prices and it can swing wildly depending on a whole lot of factors.

Heritagecoins.com had the sales that you can look back into previous auctions.
PCGS coinfacts also shows examples of sales of coins that sold. But these are all graded, slabbed coins.

But coin pricing is very subjective. When most collectors look at their coins, they may use PCGS photograde. This is OK for coins that are free of coin contact. But if you are matching coin wear to grade a coin, you have to consider coin contact and coin scratches that can reduce the value to nil if the damage is very strong. Finger prints, bag marks, carbon spots, green spots, coin indents, scratches, rim dings, harsh cleanings, acid dipped, vinegar dipped coins and the list goes on and on. Anything that alters a coin can reduce the grade even to a cull if sever enough to drop the grade. Even eye appeal is considered for grading a coin. So just matching wear on a coin is not the only thing considered.
