Definitely a DDR, but I am not sure if it's that number though.

Thank you EV for your feedback. It "looks like the one Coop submitted" but I don't understand every terminology used in coin collecting. I don't know what a die gouge is for example, etc.

Cheers

Ask that as a question for a thread, and well add information to fill in the blanks for you.

I'm not seeing what your talking about on this image? This looks like a normal coin. I just noticed this is your thread. But I have the answer prepared for a new thread. So I'll post it now on a new thread.

Are you talking about a bar on the right side of the statue? I don't have one like that. Mine is a lot different:

Statue almost on the steps.

Coop, yes I was. The Wexler doubled die website says Richard Cooper submitted 1999 D DDR 003. Maybe it was a different Richard Cooper. Sorry for inconvenience. I do believe this is a Doubled die though. Appreciate you (and EV) taking your time and at least responding to my thread.

I'm probably not gonna make any new posts as it's useless if I don't get any feedback from members here. Thanks for all your time!

Cheers!

I'm out!

FYI, your coin is almost certainly DDR-007. You linked to WDDR-003, which is the same doubled die. Learning terminology takes time, but if you ask about a particular doubled die then it's fairly important to get it correct or folks go looking at the wrong coin catalog (which is apparently what happened here with E & V). DDR is CONECA numbering as found on VarietyVista.com, WDDR is Wexler as found on doubleddie.com, and this coin also is attributed by coppercoins.com as 1999D-1DR-004. Yup, three different numbers all referring to the same die.

By the way, that's one of the best column bar doubled dies out there, congrats!

I noticed coop's penny discovery had a significant spread on EPU and I'm not seeing that on this coin. Although I do agree it is DDR, I don't know which one. I rarely look at pennies
