I noticed this quarter and wondered why it is like that. I have done some research but not sure if it's just because it didn't strike correctly or against something? I am just curious if anyone with more knowledge might know more about this coin. Thanks in advance.

There is a comparison of the Queen but not the Manitoba one as I don't have a quarter like it.

If the reeding on the edge has worn smooth - then that would be an example of a "casino quarter"... used heavily in slot machines.

That looks like many coins I have found on the street - run over many times.
