Hi all,

I just got this beautiful 1919 quarter. It seems in amazing condition to me, although its hard to see the fields due to the toning, I don't want to ever clean it, but the field is great...what do you guys think in terms of grade? Would it get MS? Thanks :)

Phenomenal detail! If the uninterrupted lustre is there - turn the coin slowly as you slip it under a desk lamp - it should go MS.

Is there actual wear on the vertical crown jewel row, bot Obv & Rev? ... or is it just lighting/glare?

It is hard to say due to the toning and the lighting, but I think that I see a little wear, which would mean not MS.

Certainly a beautiful example and probably uncirculated, but I can't get much of a feel for the surface detail because of the toning, so I'll just leave it at that.

Any wear whatsoever, no matter how minimal will,by definition, prevent the coin from grading MS.
Are you sure it's wear?
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I will try to get a different angle. Hopefully we will be able to see better. I am very hesitant to clean any coin, especially since I collect toned coins I love the look
