Hi Haykalmdownfella

There are many sites that sell books about coins e.g. ebay, amazone, AbeBooks.
Also try these online stores
http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/pro.../coin-books/
http://www.air-tites.com/Coin_Price...nd_Books.htm
http://www.brent-krueger.com/books.html

Hope this helps

Sort of like asking if there are any car books or magazines. You should try a coin show. At one I go to there is a table so full of coin books it sags in the middle. Some coin stores also have a varieety of coin books. Odd thing is many book stores don't have any coin books at all. I wonder if you could just get the Red Book and a few coin magazines for that trip. There too are many available such as Coin World, Numismatic News, etc.
If you can find one the Looking Through Lincoln Cents by Daughtrey is really interesting. Possibly purchase through the web site of https://www.coppercoins.com
Glad you asked because that makes me think about trying numerous book stores in my area to see if they do carry any coin books at all.

Try your local library. What they don't have on the shelf, they can order from another library. This will give you a chance to check out some different books without a big cash investment.

Then after your trip, if there are any you liked, then buy them.

Almost any coin book by Q. David Bowers! Pick one in your area, or a different area. You will be educated and entertained by an expert!

Just reading the title, before reading any replies, my thought was that I've always enjoyed reading articles by David Bowers.

I just read the One Minute Coin Expert by Scott A Travers. Not bad for explaining which coins to buy.

with all of the above.
Have you an area that you are interested in? I am sure you could find some in that area. Might make the reading more interesting to you. For instance - US gold coins or morgans
BTW: where are you going to/from ?

I just noticed that post by wwhitman. Any relations to Whitman Publishing? If so can you get us all copies of the Red Book free? Have you been asked this before? How abour a discount on albums?
I used to know a guy named Ford and he couldn't help me either.

I know a guy named Ford, best thing he ever did was bring us a National Championship in 1981!

I agree with all of the suggestions above. I especially favour the idea of getting a couple of current periodicals (e.g. Coin World, Numismatic News, etc.).

I like magazines. Not as heavy as books and lots of variety.
