Hello Everyone,
Looking through some Ike's and saw something I have never seen or heard of before. My 1971 D reads "God We Trust" not "In God We Trust" on the observe of my coin. Has anyone seen or heard of this before? Can't find any info on it myself as of yet. Is this a known variety or error?
BTW, this is a BU coin
Thank you for your time

to CCF. We need photos, but it sounds like a struck through grease. Kinda common, little if any premium.

@YT, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree that while pics are needed to confirm, this does sound most likely as though your coin was struck with a little grease in the die.
