@nealyon, first welcome to CCF. Second, @john1 is correct--this is a modern copy of a biblical coin. These are readily available for purchase on the interwebs and are sometimes given out to church groups. They do not have numismatic value.

This particular copy type, with lettering that looks like BAE, is extremely common. I think they were distributed with a magazine at some point?

(I also want to say that they're made of plastic, but I'm not entirely sure of that part.)
